Tell ps that they are going to look at the table and complete the sentences express ability, using the picture cues. Give ps few seconds to look at the table and the sentences. Then set the time limit for them to do task. Check the answers as a class. Call 2 ps to read the completed text aloud If there is enough time, invite some ps to read the complete sentences alound. 5.Let’s play(10’)

 Tell ps that they are going to play guessing game. Stick pictures of a dog, a fish and a parrot on the board. Check if ps can recognize the animal. Point to a picture and aks some questions (what’s this animal ?, what can it do ?). Divide ps into group of five. A ps in 1 group say two sentences about one of the animal using can and can’t. The group take turns asking  & aswering questions. The one that gets most point win. Listen. Listen and do as T’s guide.

Tell ps that they are going to practice asking the qs  about someone’s ability  Get them look at bubbles to understand how to ask and answer question about someone’s ability, using can you …?Yes, I can/ No, I can’t. Ask ps to practice in pairs, one asking the question and the other giving the answer using pictures Select some pairs to demonstrate the task in front of the class.

Language note: Draw ps attention to the expression play + the + musical instruments.E.g : play the guitar.

Tell ps that they are going to  practice ask and answer about ability, using what can you do ?    I can… and can you …?Yes, I can/ No, I can’t . Get ps to work in pairs to prepare exchanges based on the qs provided. Remind them to answer with facts about themselves Invite a few pairs to perform in front of the class. Listen. Pairs work. Act out in front of the class.

- Prepare pieces of paper on which some places are writen (e.g. in the mountains, by the sea, on the beach) and put them into the box.

- Put ps into groups of three. Invite two groups to the front of the class. G1 should draw a pieces of paper from the box and say We’ll be in/at/by...G2 should ask What will you do there?G1 then answers We’ll... After that, the two groups swap their roles. When they finish, invite other groups to continue the game.The group that cannot answer the question correctly is out.The game ends when only one group is left and they’re the winners.

-  Have ps read the chant and check their comprehension.

-Play the recording all the way through for ps to do choral and individual repetition. Show them how to chant and do actions. Invite two groups of four to give a deonstration. One group chants question and the other chant the answer.

- Call two groups to the front of the class to chant and do the actions. The rest of the class claps their hands along to the rhythm.

4.Project( 5’)

- Tell the class that theu are going to interview their classmate about where they will go and what they will do next weekend.

- Each ps selects three classmates to interview and takes note.

- When they finish interviewing, select three or four ps tp report of their interviews to the class.( E.g Xuan will be in the mountains this weekend. She’ll go there by bus. She’ll play games, sing somgs and have lunch with there lunch with her classmates. It’ll be a lot of fun.)

- Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension:

- Give them time to colour the starts and invite a few ps to read statement aloud.
