- To make the game more competitive, you can select some ps to act as teacher and whisper sentences to the 1st ps in the role.

- Have pupils look at the sentences and circle the correct options and then write the  words to fill in the blank.

- Give them a few seconds to read the sentences in silence and guess the words to fill in the gaps.

- Have pupils act out the dialogue in pairs or groups for correction.

- Give them time to write the words in the gap independently. Have them swap their answers before checking as a class.

Tell ps that they are going to  say the chant. Have them to read the chant and check comprehension. Then play the recording for them to repeat the line twice. Divide the class into 2 groups: one chant the qs and the other chant the answers. Swap the role after one round. Remind ps to pronounce the letters sch, sk and str  . Call 2 small groups of ps to the font of the class to say the chant. The rest of the class claps a long to the rhythm. Listen. Whole class. Group work.

Get them to read the text and focus on the information to complete the passage (what the girl’s name is ?, what the nationality she is ? what the name of her school is?, where her school is ? and what class she is ? Get ps to swap their answers before checking. Call a pair to ask and answer the qs. Key: 1.     Le Mai, 2.Vietnamese, 3. Nguyen Du Primary school, 4. 5.Write about yourself (10’)

 

 

 

 

 

Tell ps that they are going to write a short paragraph about their school and their class. Have ps work in pairs or group to discuss what they are going to write the name of the school, its location and the class they are in. Then give them time to do the task independently. Get ps to swap their answers before checking. As a class if there is time ask 1 ps to write the anws on the board. Key: 1. Ps’ own answers. Role play the dialogue in pairs.

6. Project (10’)

Tell ps about the project : explain the task and check understanding. Give each ps a small card . Let ps copy the 4 categories from the book. Then do an interview with a pupil as an example. Teach them how to report the results. Ex: what’s your name?
